This institute is working on nanotechnology research. They have three working teams ( CNT Application Development Team, CNT Synthesis Team and CNT Characterization Team) that devote to these research topics:

• Development of CNT dispersions
• Developement of CNT rubber and CNT plastic composites
• Development of CNT-Copper composites
• Development of CNT devices
• Development of SWCNT mass production technology
• Fundamental research on SWCNT synthesis technology
• Development of characterization techniques for CNTs in dispersions and in composites
• Development of CNT dispersion and agglomeration simulation technology
• Global standardization of CNT characterization metrology
