National Nanotechnology Center (Nanotec)
Nanotec's missions are to establish, support and promote the nanotechnological development of the country through research innovations, technology transfer, human resource development, and infrastructure.
It was established in 2003 and NANOTEC is one of four research agency operating under the jurisdiction of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). NANOTEC plays two roles of serving as a national R&D center and a funding agency to support exploration activities in universities and public institutions. Their main research activities devote to smart health, clean air, clean water, nano marks, mosquito control, nano textiles, food quality or future energy as programs which are in response to both national and NSTDA priorities. These flagship programs will utilize the 3 core platform technologies: Nano materials by design, Nano encapsulation and delivery system, and Nano fabrication & manufacturing process.
