About Company
In 2007 a new company, Burlington® Manufacturing Services (BMS), was formed. This new venture concentrated on selling commission and turn-key yarn package dyeing services for the home furnishings, apparel, and industrial textile market segments. The historic landmark Pioneer Plant, which had opened in 1923 as the founding operation for Burlington® Mills, serves as the headquarters and manufacturing facility for Burlington® Manufacturing Services. In February of 2009 a decision was made to purchase the assets and business of Tietex International, LTD Interiors division. Tietex Interior’s business consisted of jacquard woven fabrics for the home furnishings and contract industries. The business & assets, located in Gibsonville, NC were purchased to strengthen the business growth and capabilities of BMS, as well as, to continue fulfilling the company’s mission of being a strong vertical source of textile products and services for customers operating within North America needing a strong and reliable domestic source.
