About Company

Gemfire has developed a family of products based upon three technology platforms: polymers, lithium niobate, and semiconductor lasers. We've also developed proprietary processing methods and device designs on the platforms. This advanced family of PhotonIC (pronounced Photon-I-C) components is the first in a series of planar integrated optics devices designed by Gemfire for high performance optical networks.

Much of our laser, waveguide, switching and manufacturing technology has been proven through the development of highly integrated display devices and advanced light sources.
