Vitex Systems, Inc. is commercializing transparent ultra-thin barrier films for use in the manufacture of next-generation flat panel displays (FPDs). The company's proprietary encapsulation solution (Barix™) as well as its Flexible Glass substrate are landmark developments designed to enable the cost-effective production of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays that are lighter in weight and thickness than any other commercially available displays. As a result, Vitex will enable today's FPD manufacturers to discover the long sought-after 'Holy Grail' of the industry – robust, high-performance displays as thin and flexible as a sheet of paper.
