Rowo Coating specializes primarily on vacuum coating technology. At present Rowo has installed two rollcoaters for the coating of flexible substrates from roll to roll under vacuum. Company is capable of coating rolls up to a maximum width of 1650 mm and a maximum diameter of 1200 mm. It is possible to work with rolls with a core diameter of 76, 120 as well as 152 mm. Depending on the coating material and customer requirement coatings can be produced either by thermal evaporation or by sputtering. One of the rollcoaters has an inline station for the plasma pretreatment of polymer material surfaces in vacuum. The plasma pretreatment cleans and activates the surface leading to an improvement in the adhesion of coatings, paints and adhesives. On two modern slitting machines the coated material is converted to the desired width and length. Rowo is equipped with a modern machine park including slitting and winding machines next to coating machines with the corresponding measurement technique. Development performance makes Rowo a sought-after partner in the implementation of ambitious development projects. Various projects of well renowned companies, as well as projects sponsored by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) and EU, have already been successfully implemented. The goal is to consequently expand our position in the field of coating flexible substrates by continuously improving our customer-orientated service, as well as extending the possibilities of new innovative coating procedures. Rowo has been certified according to the international standard DIN ISO 9001 since 1995 and DIN EN ISO 22000 since 2012.
