Academia Sinica - National Nanoscience and Technology Program
The main purpose of the program is to establish a national nanotechnology industry in Taiwan.
Academia Sinica has founded The Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP)in cooperation with a consortium of several key research universities in Taiwan. The main business of TIGP is to develop the research manpower pool in those modern multidisciplinary areas that are important in the future economical and social development and to improve the innovative potential and academic standards of research in these and related areas.
The graduate program offers specific training and research opportunities to Ph.D. students who are interested in the fields of characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures, new nanomaterials and structures, theoretical modeling, nanodevices engineering and nano-biotechnology.
The research areas are: Synthesis of nano structures composed of various materials, Characterization of nanostructures, Theoretical Modeling, Exploration of Nanodevices and Nano-biotechnology.
