This researchers endeavour to develop various emergent materials of micro-/mesoscale architectures and their adaptive systems that enable them to access molecular complexity and networks. The arising materials of present interest exhibit unique physical and chemical properties, covering unconventional catalysis, unorthodox magnetic coupling, and unusual collaboration of multifunctional properties. These materials are also expected to apply as building blocks for larger arising materials and system. Their fundamental studies on self-assembly in complex systems should provide a unique opportunity for the preparation of a variety of complex nanomaterials exhibiting emergent properties. The research group focuses on the following three different classes of emergent materials.
