Main business of the degree is to create a strong research focus, with high achieving students, working in state-of-the-art research laboratories equipped with unique fabrication and characterisation resources.
Students In the post-graduation programme (M.Tech) students are allowed to devote the course of their choice from one of the nine schools of VIT. The entry into these programmes occurs by successfully getting through the VITMEE examination made every year. At the School of Electronic Engineering (SENSE) they offer a program called M. Tech. Nanotechnology where students can carry on their research at very well equipped laboratories.
