Tsinghua University - Center for Nano and Micro Mechanics (CNMM)

CNNM has four challenges:

    

1. They aim to pioneer a truly multidisciplinary research environment at Tsinghua University.

2.The centre will concentrate the majority of its efforts on a few carefully selected challenges. CNNM has a clear focus on mechanics as a core competence, and novel multidisciplinary applications of mechanics in fields such as nanomechanics and biomechanics.

3. They want actively encourage a practical use and a commercial exploitation of ideas and methods developed by its researchers. In addition, they collaborate with leading high-tech Chinese and international companies.

4. The last challenge is internationalization. Their target is actively recruiting Ph.D. students and senior researchers from abroad and making efforts to ensure a welcoming, international atmosphere within the centre.
