KAUST - Nanostructured Functional Materials

This group makes new nanostructured materials by designed synthesis to provide a platform for developing novel applications.
At the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology is the research group belongs to KAUST and it makes new nanostructured materials by designed synthesis to provide a platform for developing novel applications. Of specific interest are nanoporous (both inorganic and polymeric) materials which are characterized by large surface area, high porosity and uniform pores of molecular dimensions. Moreover, they are very useful for applications in catalysis, separation, adsorption and gas storage. Their actual research include:
1. High-Resolution (S)TEM Imaging and Electron Diffraction Tomography
2. Designed Synthesis of Novel Mesoporous Materials
3. Catalytic Conversion of Fossil Fuel Components and Biomass
4. Nanostructured Particles, Crystals, Composites and Assemblies
5. High-Performance Membranes for Gas Separation.
