The Quantum Dot Research Center is advancing research on these semiconductor nano structures and targeting at further development of basic nanotechnologies.
Nanophotonics Group is busy with the study of a wide range of specimens like semiconductor nanostructures such as quantum dots, photonic crystals made by electron beam lithography, and nano fibers made of aggregates of thiocyanine dyes.Moreover, they are targeting at the explanation of electronic states and optical properties by laser spectroscopy, characteristic estimation and sample design by numerical analysis, and theoretical search for new quantum functionality. In addition, they accept and supervise graduate students in collaboration with Tsukuba University.
