Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology - Nanoparticles by Design Unit

Here is the history of  Institute of Science and Technology: Ministers agreed to establish a new research institute in September 2005, as an organization leading up to the new graduate university. Nowadays, the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology is an interdisciplinary graduate school and is offering a 5-year PhD. program in Science. Over half of the faculty and students are recruited from outside Japan, and all education and research is conducted completely in English. This research unit studies the structural, magnetic, electronic, chemical properties and applications of size selected monometallic, bimetallic and core. The OIST graduate education and research program is cross-disciplinary and targets to be at the leading edge of research in science and technology, including Mathematics, Life Sciences and the Physical Sciences.
