Main business of this Project is creating variety of functional materials based on C60 and carbon nanotubes that are given functionality through organic synthesis. Possibilities include molecular electronic devices, thin film transistors, a solar battery, and luminescence materials. They know that next generation electronics are based on organic materials. They found out that it is possibble to use C60 in biological application because it might be a way to deliver DNA into mammalian cells and thus useful for gene therapy.
