IVNC 2014 is the 27th of the International Vacuum Nanoelectronics Conference series, devoted to nanoscience and technology of vacuum electron sources and their applications. Discussions will include sources based on field electron emission, photo- and thermal generation, and hot electron generation via internal tunneling. The conference aims to promote understanding of physics, chemistry, emission physics and beam properties of field emitter arrays and nanoemitters, as well as the materials, growth, and fabrication technologies of cathodes based on field electron emission, secondary emission, photoemission, negative electron affinity. Applications include compact X-ray sources, lamps, displays, RF-amplifiers, plasma devices, analytical instruments, and electron guns.
