VG Scienta is a leading provider of scientific equipment to the research community. The company's technology solutions are used by a diverse range of customers worldwide to enhance the understanding and development of novel and advanced materials.
VG Scienta, part of Scienta Scientific, has R&D and production facilities in Uppsala (founded in 1983), Sweden and in
St Leonards-on-Sea (founded in 1962), in the United Kingdom.
Surface Science Instruments
With a basis in Professor Kai Siegbahn’s Nobel Prize winning ESCA method, VG Scienta has developed state-of-the-art electron analysers and sources for surface physics measurement systems that help researchers better understand material structures for applications such as superconductors, graphene or magnetic material. Recent development now enables the use of VG Scienta’s electron analysers under near ambient pressures which allows for research in areas such as energy, environmental science and biotechnology.
VG Scienta Systems
For the emerging plastic electronics industry, VG Scienta has a range of vacuum deposition and instrument technologies that support development of improved materials, more efficient stacks and longer lasting devices. Specifically VG Scienta’s unique technology enables measurement of barrier layer performance with WVTR of better than 10-6 g/m2/day.
Equally important are VG Scienta’s PVD-CVD deposition systems which enable lab scale growth of high quality graphene on metallic substrates under vacuum conditions.
Based on our expertise in deposition and instrument technology, VG Scienta offers complete systems for state-of-the-art research, customisable to fit your particular scientific requirement.
VG Scienta also has a full range of ultra-high vacuum components, transfer solutions and systems which can be customised to the required application.
